Proof that government spending can stimulate, UK finally out of recession
Britain broke free of a nine-month recession in the third quarter, helped by a boost from the 2012 Olympic Summer Games, the Office for National Statistics reported Thursday.
The Olympics is a heavily government funded project. Cities and the national government pony up money to make the Olympics a success and this leads to stimulating the economy.
