I am a proud momma when it comes to her - but she is part of the Me generation.

With all this talk coming from the elected Teabaggers about rape & with all the pressure coming from the crazies, including from a man that could be President about overturning Roe V Wade -
this generation of young women need to know what it was like for women before abortion became legal.
They need to know how hard our sisters fought to give them the freedom to choose what is best for their bodies.
And they need to know to keep up the fight and to vote in every election like their uterus depends on it.
We can NEVER go back to those days and we must educate our daughters about what those days were like.
Or they will have no idea that they must keep up the fight for their daughters.

Have fun on your date. : )

(47,675 posts)Another one to consider is "Dirty Dancing" - it deals DIRECTLY with the issue of abortion. I've got a wife and three daughters and had two women from my past decide to get abortions (one without my knowledge beforehand). I take the matter very seriously. My eldest is 21 now, so we're in similar situations in the parenting department.
