reality? He just said that this close to the election, if the poll numbers don't start getting closer to a 3 point spread, the ties will break for Obama.

(617 posts)We are where we are, and Romney is where he is. I'm nervous as hell, but I'd rather be where we're at, than facing what they're facing. I've felt it before - 2004, and I don't ever want that pit-of-stomach stress again! GOTV! (I'm in Taiwan, but if I were there, I would be hauling people 7 at a time in our Odyssey)

(31,828 posts)She was smooth and clear on the point she made. And very calm and relaxed.
she looked like she ate the canary when she read a piece comparing Obama's Policies to Germany and Great Britain which were similar to what Romney is proposing. Scarborough and the others looked tongue tied.

(37,364 posts)as he sees his prospects for a brilliant future as leader of the free world fading in the rearview mirror. I think deep down that guy has been hoping that the GOP would just beg him to step forward and be their standard bearer. Hell, he's been blatantly auditioning for years now.

Major Hogwash
(17,656 posts). . and cold, harsh reality is setting in.
After going through 12 different scenarios, playing 'red state, blue state', with all of the so-called "Battleground States", Joe still couldn't find a way to get Romney the 270 electoral votes he needs to become the President of the United States.
So much for Mitt's momentum.
Even after giving Romney -- just flat out giving him -- the state of Florida!
Joe said that he had to give Romney Florida because that was 'his' state, and then said sarcastically that he just can't imagine Florida voting for President Obama again.
However, even then, even after placing Florida in Romney's favor, Joe couldn't find enough states to get Romney to the magic number of 270.
Nevada isn't going to go for Romney.
Wisconsin isn't going to go for Romney.
Pennsylvania isn't going to go for Romney.
So, Romney gets all the shitty states that only have 3 or 4 electoral votes.
Shitty states like mine, Idaho.
And other states like Wyoming and Utah, states that are reliably GOP stalwart states.
But, even then, even after giving Romney the great state of Florida, wiith all of it's delicious 26 electoral votes, Joe still couldn't cover the map with enough red states to get to the number 270.
I don't feel bad for Joe, though.
He tried hard these last 2 months to help Romney as much as he could.
He lied and said that Romney held his own in the 3rd debate.
Yeah, right.
