(23,957 posts)compared to some of the hysteria around here after the 1st debate, Zephyr's posts are pure sweetness and light. i happen to think the 269-269 scenario is highly unlikely, but it is possible, he's not hurting anyone by pointing it out.
David Zephyr has been at DU a long time, and imho is not a rightwing plant. whether he's trustworthy in general, i'm not in a position to say, but he doesn't strike me as a concern troll. relax.
well I notice he's persistence in the 269 scenario for Romey over ad over...fuck!! he went obsession with that.
that's why I said I don't trust him....
but thank you for calm me the fuvk down.
Take heart. My OP is written to demonstrate how very hard it now is for Romney to get over 269 electoral votes because President Obama and his brilliant campaign foresaw the Midwest/Rustbelt as the battleground early on and began to chisel away at it with powerful advertising there. Mitts "home" state of Michigan is Obama's. Ohio? The early voting makes it almost mathematical impossible for Romney now.
Even Romney's pathetic chance at New Hampshire has melted away. It's good news. He's down to 269 and he won't even get that much, but it will be his strategy. He has no other options. I appreciate you sticking up for our Prez, but my message was that Romney's in an electoral box now with few options. We need to make sure Nevada and Iowa stay in our pocket because Mitt will be targeting them. Read my whole thread and you'll see it. I'm with you. BTW, I'm cool with your thread.
