Is there any truth to this email? Very interesting read.

On today's Truth Jihad Radio, Gordon Duff broke a story that might go viral and tip the (sham) presidential elections…or maybe not. Anyway, the breaking story is that Mitt Romney isn't just a draft-dodger like Bush and Cheney - he's a criminal draft EVADER. In 1966,Romney enrolled at Stanford, then had a psychiatric breakdown (depression), left Stanford, was shipped to France by his rich daddy (the Governor of Michigan) and spent two and a half years in France allegedly doing Mormon missionary work, and supposedly claiming exemption from the draft as a "minister of religion." The problem: First, according to the law, a missionary is NOT a minister. Additionally, it was illegal to be a Mormon missionary in France at that time. Heck, they don't even like the missionary position. (Seriously, Mormonism was defined by French law as a "dangerous cult.&quot There was no Mormon missionary work happening in France. The reality is that his rich, powerful daddy, George Romney the top Mormon in Michigan as well as the governor, illegally shielded him from the draft.

And it cost George Romney the presidency. In 1968, Romney led Nixon for the Republican nomination by ten points in the polls. But Nixon's henchmen dug up the Mitt Romney draft evasion story. They told George Romney that if he took the nomination from Nixon, his son Mitt would be going to prison as a draft evader. Romney bowed out, Nixon took the nomination and the presidency, and the rest is history.
The saddest part of all of this is clearly Mitt Romney may not be capable of handling the struggles of the Presidency. Look at how Obama has aged. All of them age exponentially during their terms as President. Romney has aged merely as he has been campaigning. Ronald Reagan's win as President has led a lot of candidates to believe that an average person can become President. He simply read the "script." The Bushes were the machine behind Reagan. Romney's backers seem to be leery of him at this point. That machine has failed, but Romney is attempting to champion a myth that is long-sensed been "blown out the water. "
I am not happy where we are economically in America. I doubt anyone is. I'm old and have been without a regular full-time job for years. I'm not happy with Obama, however, we cannot blame Obama for the state we are in. Hilary Clinton and Bill Clinton are thanking God every night they are not in Obama's shoes!!! He inherited a murderous monster. As for Romney, it is absolutely heart-breaking. He is beyond flawed. I feel for him so. Yet there is a large swath of America who believe in Romney as well as Dorothy and Tot

That's simply untrue to claim otherwise.

but is very, very interested in having the title. The people he has surrounded himself with- every neocon and wingnut in the upper reaches of the party, most from the W administration, would be running the country for him.

It would be a disaster both for him and for us should he succeed.

As for his missionary work in France, it was an odd place for it and it was definitely against the law there, but the law was rarely enforced, nor would it have been against the son of a US governor.

6. There is no truth to the major claims

There might be smaller truths buried in there, I don't know. The claim that claiming the draft exemption as a missionary was somehow illegal isn't true, as there was a specific agreement between the lds church and the draft board allowing for exemptions--basically an unlimited amount initially, and then on a limited basis following a lawsuit.

As to George Romney, he was ahead of Nixon in 1966, right after the midterm elections, but that was before Nixon (or anyone else, really) was actually in the race. Nixon was ahead as soon as his candidacy was clear, and while Romney was his closest challenger for most of the year, he was never again ahead in the polls. Then, in the fall of 1967, he said that he had been "brainwashed" into supporting the Vietnam War. Before long, he was no longer very close in the polls. He dropped out before the New Hampshire primary because his own polls showed he had no chance of winning.

that is somewhat striking that coincides with a story I've been told by one of Mitt's dorm mates at Stanford. I wrote about it in vague terms in an earlier OP but I still can't be specific because it isn't my call to reveal. But it is a story that concerns Mitt's mental condition at that time, and violent acts. So there could be some grain of truth in that Stanford statement.

dressing in a state troppers uniform when he was a teenager is bad enough but putting s red light on hsi white rambler and actually stopping citizens goes way beyond the pale of a prank. Then taking the uniform to Stanford and showing it off to fellow students is bizzarre.

Eerily reminiscent of the Dan Rather set-up. I wouldn't bite.

That's #1; #2 is that Romney Sr. was a flawed candidate who got creamed by Nixon in the NH Primary... the be-all and end all in those days.

#3: I'm quite sure the Romneys pulled strings to keep him out of VN. This is a surprise?

"Truth Jihad Radio"

ABOUT

Dear Friends of Freedom,

Many of you know me as the Creator/Founder of "We The People Radio Network" and "Ron Paul Revolution Radio." As you've heard, We The People Radio Network has "closed its doors." The truth is that WTPRN was forced to close by hostile takeover by so called "patriots" in Austin that were more interested in their profits than our freedoms.

Tyranny, even on a local level must not be tolerated and the fight for freedom and Truth will continue on American Freedom Radio.

The goal of "American Freedom Radio" is to become the WORLDWIDE media vehicle with both radio and video. The best and brightest radio broadcasters from all over the world are ready to bring you the only true free speech on Internet radio.

American Freedom Radio's Slogan is, No Rules...No Taboo Topics...No Fear Of Doom... and unlike other so called "patriot networks" who only allow their version of the truth, our goal is to take our activism to the next level and break free from the paradigm of fear and doom. Unlike other networks, no topics will be considered taboo and you may not always agree with what you hear, but true free speech allows all points of view to be heard. We will continue to work closely with many national activist groups like Ron Paul's "Campaign for Liberty" to continue what has already been achieved by the "Ron Paul Revolution," even though we may not always agree with everything, it's our best shot at restoring our Constitutional Republic.

The time is now and we sincerely need your help to keep this historic alternative network on the air. Your elected representatives are bought paid for by the very people who are extracting the money from the American taxpayers. The "bailout" of the criminals on Wall Street by our so called elected representatives illustrates the urgent need to re-double our efforts to wake up people, provide solutions, alleviate fear, and most importantly, educate and MOBILIZE THE WORLD to fight the changes that are upon us. If you have it within your means to help, please make a contribution today while your Federal Reserve Notes still have buying power. Any amount will help!

We are in this fight together so also please tell everyone you know about "American Freedom Radio" so we can grow our numbers quickly and raise the funds necessary to keep the network growing. Thank you for your awareness and support of our critical mission.

Sincerely,

Yours In Truth And Freedom,
Danny Romero

As for the interviewee, Gordon Duff, he is an anti-Semitic crackpot. If he said the sun was rising in the east, I would get up to double check his "facts." Others have alaready pointed out some of the logistical problems, so I won't, but figured you might like to know where this e-mail originated.
