Why isn't Romney getting hammered on his plan to limit middle class tax deductions to $25K or $17K

or whatever magic number he pulls out that day?

This equates to a tax increase on middle class taxes or the only way to make his math work. I know his bogus "6 studies" are talked about in liberal circles but I don't hear anything about it in the regular media. I'd be willing to bet very few middle class Romney voters understand this or the impact it would have on their own pocket book or the economy if it ever were implemented.

dh and I have small businesses that take us well over 17k plus our charitable donations. for example this year we donated my DH's car. We hate trying to sell stuff. if you get a mortgage of 300k getting over 17k in deductions gets real easy. and in northern va 300k is a "cheap" mortgage crazy but true

I would rather not have it and skip the surgery and disease.

So if you have over 17K do you get to opt out of cancer?
