I'm Pissed!

My sister called me today to tell me what's going on in the town where she lives.

Back in 2008 when then Senator Obama was running against Senator McCain for the presidency Senator McCain campaigned in Defiance, OH. Since Defiance, Ohio is a small town, there weren't enough people to fill the junior high school football stadium, so they bussed in students to inflate the crowd size to make it look as if Senator McCain had a lot of supporters.

Fast forward to 2009.

When the President of the United States, Barack Obama, decided to go on closed circuit tv to give a speech to school children to study hard and stay in school, the superintendent of the Defiance, Ohio City School district would not allow the speech to be aired because he said it would be too controversial.

Fast forward to 2012.

Mitt Romney decides he is going to campaign in this small northwestern Ohio town, Defiance, tomorrow and where do you suppose he is holding his hate fest? That's right, the Defiance, Ohio Senior High school football stadium because it holds more people!

So to recap, if you are a jack booted thug who needs a captive audience to spread your hate filled propaganda and lies, not only will Defiance, Ohio welcome you with open arms they will help you fill the seats! But, if you are the President of the United States who happens to be a Democrat, don't even think of trying to send a positive message to school children to study hard and stay in school because that will NOT be tolerated!

Now, I'm not saying that the superintendent's office should be flooded with calls asking why the President's speech to school children was censored while they open the football stadium to the republican candidate TWICE who isn't even the President, but if it is I can certainly understand why!

I'm heading down to the OFA office to volunteer so I may not be able to reply until later this evening, but I just wanted you all to know what was going on there.

I am sooooooooo glad that living in SoCal, I am surrounded by so few of these kind of RW people.
