That's the snow job the Mittster tried last night; Detroit should have a "work out" and they'd be better off for that.
BUT there was no work out out there, NONE, and that was just fine with Romney, because it aggrandizes his/1%'s power positions. This is why they are so angry at our President for getting Detroit back on its feet. They were looking to liquidate those assets in order to protect their own positions in the shit-storm that THEY created, the Derivative Crash of '08. Our President prevented their efforts to put Detroit on the slave auction-block.

He was arguing with me and said that if you read the actual op-ed Romney wrote in the paper about Detroit, he never said he would let them go bankrupt.
I was like, "are you KIDDING me?" Where in the hell did you get that? Fox?
