A President Romney would mean the nation's first polytheistic president.

Who knew we could advance so far beyond the Judeo-Christian tradition so rapidly. I was just congratulating a couple of my more conservative friends on their openmindedness. I'm waiting a response to my FB post:

up by Joseph, begetting the natural child Jesus. After all those years of claiming they were Biblical living and America must be Christian, and instantly they go for multiple Gods and Jesus born of man not of God, snap, just like that. Whole basis of their faith, flushed.
The pretention and affectation that they hate gay people 'because the Bible says so' has never been so obviously false. They are ripping their own theology to shreds to call Mitt a Christian.

I wonder how Romney knew that his religion would become a nonissue to the religious right? He turned out to be correct, obviously, but how did he know his faith would be handled with kid gloves by both sides?

to condemn subservient treatment of women by this religion because I can see him turning it in to social policy. For once I'm willing to go there because it is exactly this type of theology that will force itself on others.

I've spoken to one today so far who had no idea they believed in three separate deities. To be honest, neither did I until last night.
