A lot of us are tired and we should be.
After all, we have been pretty stressed out since 2000.
But our 2008 win and President Obama gave us a great chance to recover some of our energy and he really needs us now. It is time to thank him for that respite and show that we have his back by donating whatever we can. I know it is frustrating and not even fair to ask those that have suffered the most during this economic theft of our money from the have less's to the have mores but without Obama and our support of him last time, we would undoubtedly have even less.
This election, in my opinion at least, is even more important than the last one. Call me a Debbie downer but I really can't imagine this country surviving a vulture like Romney. I never thought anyone could be worse than Bush but Romney scares the chit out of me.
If you are like me you managed to pony up a lot more last election than this election. My economic situation is a bit bleaker this time around but I know for a fact that my family has benefited from Obama's policies both because of Obamacare and his stimulus plan (which allowed my husband to keep his job even at half the hours).
So even though we mat not be better off than before Bush managed to screw the country and start this economic nightmare, at least we survived it, thanks to Obama. Some have not been as fortunate as us, but I think most of us can agree that we would all have been a hell of a lot worse off had we not gotten Obama elected.
The Republicans are pulling every dirty trick possible now to turn what should have been a well deserved Obama second term in to a Romney win. Not one dirty trick is beyond them. Lying is par for the course. Voter intimidation is now acceptable. The voting machine shenanigans are once again in play. Racism are sexism are par for the course. It goes on and on.
And it cannot be allowed to become the status quo for the next four years.
Please pony up whatever you can, no matter how little, to help Obama and all of us.
Whatever we give now, we will get back in policies that benefit all if Obama wins. If he loses, well we were going to lose much more than we donated anyway.
