(60,022 posts)I've never liked him. Way too swayable/unpredictable, ego way too large.

(2,391 posts)And sure seems to want it to be the only one heard on his show. I can't figure out why he even bothers having guests when he barely lets them speak. [img][/img]

(9,893 posts)He's a slight plus.
When he's calm and focusing on the "inside politics" meme, he can be very insightful.
However, he is subject to man-crushes on macho politicians.
On the other hand, he's been supportive of Obama recently, and isn't afraid to call out racists and racism.
The Koch Bros. are a much bigger problem.

(1,846 posts)Not perfect, but his knowledge of history and willingness to call out people like Reince Preibus are OK by me.

(1,922 posts)The other is a cool, laid-back guy.
I flew from JFK to SFO, seated next to him on both flights.
We had a heck of a time. Interestingly, I was the only passenger in 1st Class who recognized him. The attendant knew who he was, though.

(24,096 posts)he should take his serous charge of 'news', 'journalism', whatever it is called these days, he should take this more seriously instead of it being about HIM, maybe he should stop and think before he has one of his emotional outbursts of ME ME ME I'm so upset, mama.
fuck 'im.
still can't watch MSNBC
Bluenorthwest
(45,319 posts)It is not 'whatever' and the two things are not the same. If you are looking for news reporting, he does not do that. He comments on the news, as do the guests on his show. He is not charged with anything other than giving his opinion. Which is what he does. That's his job. Journalism is not his job.
Whisp
(24,096 posts)they all do it for their own ratings, their own bosses, and their own paychecks.
some are more bearable that others, obviously, but it's all a game to them. like sports announcing.

flamingdem
(39,328 posts)good one!
I'm not that mad at him but he does need to keep it in check for the next couple of weeks.
JaneQPublic
(7,113 posts)...that his show wastes the time of his guests. He asks them questions but never shuts up to let them answer.
If he wants to ask and answer his own questions, he should do the entire show solo.

(19,458 posts)I never understand the way people turn on him instantly if he says something they don't like. the majority of the time, he's cool.
I still don't know why you call him "tweety."
flamingdem
(39,328 posts)I like him except when he helps destroy Obama's lead by setting up a narrative that he absolutely sucked in the first debate. We have enough MSM in the tank for Romney, he needed to buffer his comments because they were so over the top it really made us SUFFER the next TWO WEEKS.
Spazito
(50,481 posts)He irritates the hell out of me at times but he has been pointing out the rabid racism being used by the repubs where few others (Martin Bashir, Reverend Al being the 'few') are and that gets big kudos from me.
flamingdem
(39,328 posts)my gripe is what he did after the first debate, he better not pull that again - we can't afford to give ammo to the MSM to trash Obama
Spazito
(50,481 posts)President Obama did seem somewhat subdued to me as well but to go ballistic, as Chris did, was bizarre, imo.
I think part of it comes down to trying to keep drama in the Presidential race in order to maintain or increase their viewership seeing as those are the numbers that get the attention of the advertisers.
