You Can’t Find One Instance” In Which Abortion Is Necessary To Save the Life Or Health Of the Mother

Tea Party Rep. Joe Walsh (R-IL): “With Modern Technology And Science, You Can’t Find One Instance” In Which Abortion Is Necessary To Save the Life Or Health Of the Mother

Wonderful news this morning, ladies!! According to Tea Party Rep. Joe Walsh (R-IL), abortion is no longer needed to save the life or health of the mother, thanks to advances in modern technology and science. Hurrah!!

(more at link)

------------------------------------

Wow! So a few years ago when my friend was diagnosed with lupus and told her twins were not developing properly, would never survive outside the womb, and were threatening her life the doctors were wrong?

Or when I was told that one of my twins was not developing properly, would not survive outside the womb, and was threatening the viability of the twin that was developing properly the doctors were wrong?

I could add the similar stories of the other couples in my therapy sessions but why bother since clearly republican lawmakers seem to have this shit figured out?

Honestly if the abortion and women's rights issues don't sink the republican party forever I will be so disappointed.....

Wait, republicans are citing advances in science to support their agenda taking away a woman's right to an abortion? I thought they didn't believe in science?

without an abortion. The doctors in Ireland almost waited too long to save her life when the babies were already lost.

BELFAST, Northern Ireland (AP) — The first abortion clinic on the island of Ireland opened Thursday in Belfast, sparking protests by conservatives from both the Catholic and Protestant sides of Northern Ireland.

The Marie Stopes family planning center will offer the abortion pill to women who are less than nine weeks pregnant — but only if doctors determine they're at risk of death or long-term health damage from their pregnancy.

That's the law in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, where abortion is otherwise illegal

There is nothing so heartbreaking as discovering you are pregnant and then finding out you cannot bring your baby to term.

No viable baby can be born from a fallopian tube. When the tube bursts from the embryo getting too big, massive internal hemorrhaging will happen, and without medical medical help, the woman will go into a coma from the internal bleeding, and die. It's a very dangerous situation.

to congress or at least have them accessible for lawmakers? I keep thinking of that shameful panel of all men put together last year. I'm so sick of these attacks on women's reproductive rights. It's not like having an abortion is ever an easy decision to make. Women do not need to be shamed before getting one or punished afterward. It's a medical decision. So often the press will talk about abortion in the case of rape or incest but little has been said to defend the need for abortion where it risks the life of the mother or in my case (which is probably rare) a sibling.

They don't matter. We as women don't matter. They accept a certain percentage of deaths as the cost of managing the breeding cattle.

Both died during childbirth for reasons identified by doctors earlier in their pregnancies.

The ignorance on the part of male Teabaggers with regard to how the female body works is absolutely stunning.

I'm beginning to think there is one root cause to this stupidity, as well as the entire Tea Party movement: Homeschooling.

http://www.reuters.com/article/2010/12/02/us-pregnancy-deaths-idUSTRE6B15P220101202

Researchers at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) found that between 1998 and 2005, the rate of pregnancy-related deaths was 14.5 per 100,000 live births. And while that rate is low, it is higher than what has been seen in the past few decades.

However, it is also possible that part of the increase is "real." According to the new data, deaths from chronic medical conditions that are exacerbated by pregnancy, including heart disease, appear to account for a growing number of pregnancy-related deaths.

In contrast, deaths from actual obstetric complications -- namely, hemorrhaging and pregnancy-related high blood pressure disorders -- are declining.

That's the thing that really stuck out for me at those therapy sessions. All those couples wanted their baby so very much just as we wanted ours. It is so painful to see politicians stand there, having never faced making such a decision, judge and condemn those who have justifying their position with outright ignorance.

Doubly so when it's a woman! Why does any woman vote republican?

and then re-attach it in the uterus. Detaching it would kill it instantly. ABORTION. lol I heard one "Akin" scientist say let the tube burst. Putting the woman's life in danger? "It might re-attach in the uterus ALL BY ITSELF". How does it stay ALIVE in the meantime after it's life support (fallopian tube) is taken away? Super Embryo!!!! It can swim and breathe in BLOOD, and has radar to the uterus?

This was supposed to be a CHRISTIAN MD!!!! His license should be taken away for even saying something like this. QUACKS.

Yes, this fucking dinosaur says stupid, outrageous stuff. He can't help it, because he's an outrageously stupid fucking dinosaur. And if it helps get his outrageously stupid fucking dinosaur ass tossed out of office, great.

HOWEVER.

Abortion is a LEGAL medical procedure, that does NOT require any explanations OR justifications to outrageously stupid fucking dinosaurs. It isn't up to outrageously stupid fucking dinosaurs as to who and who won't be allowed to have this perfectly LEGAL medical procedure done.
