A huge Bravo Zulu to President Biden and his administration

123,000 evacuated, on schedule and was the better man when confronted by the grieving parents of the fallen Marine.

After the noise from the conflict media dies down, the historians will compare this effort to the Berlin airlift.

We didn't have talking heads expounding 24/7 back then. Most people read newspapers every morning. Then they watched a half hour of news in the evening. There were some talk shows, but with only three networks plus PBS, there were only a handful. Not everyone was paying a whole lot of attention all the time.

conversation with a person who I used to think was mildly intelligent, I said those involved in the insurrection should face incarceration. He disagreed, claiming it was their "constitutional right." I asked exactly what in the Constitution protects insurrection? He said the second paragraph of the Declaration of Independence. I attempted to explain that the two documents are distinct, and he assured me that I didn't know what I was talking about.

balloons for the dead Central Park event - if there was such stuff on the outer edges I was nowhere near it.

Thought decades later my sis and I made sure we got away from the police on horses during an Anti-Iraq war March!
And before we got there as we were coming out of the subway big, long entrance we saw a cop cornering a protester.

This evacuation was a huge success. The one day when civilians overwhelmed airport security to get onto the runway was a blip and brief.

The terror attack that killed our troops had little to do with the withdrawal. Terrorists attack wherever and whenever they want.

We evacuated 123,000 people and developed better ties with the Taliban to influence them and continue to get people out who want to leave. Couldn't have gone much better in that regard.

I have two brothers who each did 20 years in the army.

None of us go around spouting military jargon in our everyday speech.

And I have not noted a lot of people here using it;
little to none actually.

But if it works for you, whatever.
