I was absolutely floored tonight, Romney loses votes to Gary Johnson-

We've been friends for over a decade now, and have had super lively discussions on everything from how time could possibly be folded to the pettiness of the local people around us. Intense debates over religion and politics, but done with respect. They know I used to be an R, turned independent. Even though they are still registered that way, they never judge me for changing my views. They know I voted for our President, and even though they didn't agree they left it alone because in the end what matters is what you are to each other.

So they are standing there talking to me, and they pick up this card that came in the mail. I've not been a R for a while but I still get crap stuffed in my mailbox, it was a card telling you how you should vote and each conservative name was done up in red. Bubbles next to the names in the mock ballot showed how and where to mark. It even said on it "You may take this with you to vote as a guide."

They look at it and go "What the heck is this?" I shrug and say thats another piece of junk that came in the mail, and I'm holding onto it because I don't know if it's illegal but it sure as hell is shady.

They looked at me and said (this is what totally floored me) ...
"I'm voting for Gary Johnson"

I really did think I heard wrong, not only have they never told me who they were voting for before but this? I said "Uh...uh. What?"

"I'm voting for Gary Johnson, I don't want Obama but I don't want Romney either. Neither one of them. I'll use my vote but it won't be for them."

Before, I posted about the "Likability" factor issue Romney has. And how he couldn't compete because he gives people the heebie jeebies. This is proof positive, on further discussion it looks like their whole family is voting that way.

I'm stunned, and more than a little happy. Is it a vote for Obama, no...but they are votes Romney isn't getting. Oh, and we live in the south

I would vote for Johnson. It's pretty simple. Mitt can't be trusted on any issue.

I even get voter guides that say Democrat but have a few of the lesser known races marked for Republicans. These are groups that try to fool us. It is legal, but it is shady in California.

And I applaud their decision to vote for Garry Johnson. Makes it easier to beat Romney.

Obama or Romney now. So she's all promoting Johnson now. Shame.

5. It's actually half as good as voting for Obama.

It takes away one vote from Romney - creating a net one vote change between Romney and Obama (Romney down one, Obama up zero). A switch to Obama would create a net two vote change (Romney down one, Obama up one).

Granted Obama doesn't get the vote, but it would be much like when Perot was in the race. Votes will leech from Romney to Johnson, the split vote will allow a stronger chance for Obama to gain a second term.

Or am I missing something here?

in the south except for Florida. Which most southerners don't consider a southern state.

Romney lost his vote with the 47% comment and thinks the GOP is throwing the election on purpose.
