CEOs don't make good presidents, IMO. Many of them are too ambitious, even sociopathic, and government is not supposed to be run like a business. They have different purposes.

boost the bottom line doesn't mean the CEO knows how to motivate employees, inspire creativity, loyalty, or overall good "health" of an organization.

It amazes me daily that my boss is able to hold the company together....although he does and has pulled us through some impossible times. But he is not a manager....his management philosophy is "keep all the employees hating each other so that they will not talk to each other, wasting time and possibly sharing information he doesn't want them to share".

No thanks. Not my boss.
