Thanks for the help. I've been a nervous wreck.
Edit: Actually, 5 hours. I didn't watch the debate.

(25,415 posts)Obama kicked his butt and Mitt came off as sexist, jerky, out of touch and had no specifics.

(111,367 posts)Surprisingly big winner was Crowley, who managed to keep a semblance of order even if some of the questions she picked were repetitive and lame.
Second winner was Obama, who was well rested and didn't let Romney get away with lying. He was sharp and on point.
Big loser was Romney, who finally came across as rude and overbearing. Even Crowley corrected one lie of his, undoubtedly lifted by Bolton from a right wing blog.
About 2/3 of the way through the evening, Romney gave every appearance of a man who has finally realized his staff are lying to him. His wife looked upset, his kids were crestfallen at the end.

(673 posts)Nah, he knows what he's saying.
He's thinking the rubes over the hill are too dumb to count.
He looks like a man who just realized he's lying to himself, and he just got his whole team wiped out.
Mitt = Custer.

(2,391 posts)But, this time, he didn't get away with it. Candy Crowley smacked down Willard. Literally. She made him sit down!
The questions were very good.
The President got better and better and blew it out of the water in his final summary.
Brilliant performance for Obama. Disaster for Willard. Crowley did well, as surprised as I am, I have to admit that.

(12,769 posts)There is a great photo of Romney looking righteously ticked off and downright evil floating around here.

(2,013 posts)CHEERING at several spots. I did during the Biden/Eddie Munster debate too. I did NO such thing during the first debate (not even once; not even a little). Download and ENJOY! Just wait for, "Can you say that a little LOUDER, Candy?".

(10,745 posts)but he took Slick Willard straight to the pen.
In short, this may be the worst series of gaffes Romney's ever done.

(154,021 posts)of historic proportions. You will even like this. Crowley fact checked Romney in the middle of the debate... (a first in debate history)
Of course, you should know our friends are NOT happy... and it is getting to the point where we all can predict their reactions to shit like this.
to paraphrase Cenk said last week after the Biden\Ryan debate. We are just waiting for the stretcher to take Romney out.
I am as cynical as they come, but man... this was one for the ages.

(20,317 posts)The format was actually very good, and Obama mopped the floor with Romney's face.
