are code words for essentially massive privatization and contracting of government services. And that also means sending government services overseas to places like China and India. Mitt Romney apparently privatized Massachusetts state jobs overseas. These service would be like phone answering.
Incredibly enough during the Bush years Indiana wanted to contract and Indian company called TATA to do unemployment insurance work. That meant that workers who were laid off in Indiana would be calling India to file their claim by phone. And I am sure that there would also have been some claim processing there as well. So the GOP wanted to lay off state employees who were doing that job. How un American to do such a thing taking federal dollars from tax payers and send them overseas. Ironically the laid off state workers would have to call INDIA to file their unemployment claim.
Also during the Bush years there was a push to send the 911 emergency system to Pakistan. So when you had a fire or needed a police officer you would be calling Pakistan to report a fire or a crime. That is 10,000 miles on the other side of the planet. Pakistan really is a stable place. (Snark Snark).
What I have written about above is what Romney would do to a lot of the federal government. It would be contracted out and not necessarily in this country.

(15,189 posts)Is a GOP idea. Bush used that term many times. See, the rich would trickle down their money to help the middle class. Only it wouldn't be higher taxes for the rich, it would be as they see fit as to how they wanted to trickle down their money if at all.

(10,602 posts)The meme actually does not make a lot of sense to me. It is kind of a slam about government efficiency. The GOP plays the meme that business can always do thing better and cheaper. Both memes seem to hint at privatization to me. If business is the only entity to create jobs GOPPERS conclude that if government is supposed to operate like a business then the jobs should be run by contract by a corporation or private contractor. In their own twisted way they see no light between a business and government services. Everything is for profit.
