Brooks - "Obama should get something out of this, but the swing voters may not have liked the alpha male-tone of the debate
Ari Shapiro - "never seen a sitting president go so repeatedly on the attack"
Michael Beschloss - "this is the iciest debate ever"
What amazes me....last debate Obama was too passive. So this time he sticks up for himself and his record - and he is too aggressive? not likeable?
If anything convinces me that this is a game that Obama cannot win in their eyes (meaning a set up for the corporate tool Mitt), it is these kinds of statements. Do these pundits even think before opening their mouths?

i think he did a good just being feisty and showing backbone without being obnoxious and rude and disrespectful.
he was helped immensely in this by rmoney being notably obnoxious and rude and disrespectful. the comparison i think really helps obama.

(17,276 posts)Matthew Dowd said he won absolutely. George Will said he's seen every debate going back to 1960, and this one was the best of all time. He said Obama will pick up some points.
