(15,139 posts)suit like Romney would get anywhere near half the vote if he wasn't running against Barack Obama. There are a tremendous number of dumbasses out there.

(18,219 posts)and what about the rest of us? We will just be screwed.
I wish that it was only the ones who vote for these assholes who had to live with that vote. Then life would be fair----and I could enjoy watching the outcome with great zeal.

(15,882 posts)and are bedazzled by the radiance of his splendor. Drawn by this brilliance they come near, without realizing they are approaching a flame that cannot fail to scorch them. Similarly attracted, the indiscreet satyr of the old fables, on seeing the bright fire brought down by Prometheus, found it so beautiful that he went and kissed it, and was burned; so, as the Tuscan poet reminds us, the moth, intent upon desire, seeks the flame because it shines, and also experiences its other quality, the burning ...."

(262 posts)Someone needs to do an overlay of this town hall audience: The original picture & how each candidate views them in their own thoughts.
1. How Pres Obama sees the audience.
2. How Rmoney sees the audience.
The view of Rmoney audience would have faces with cartoon balloon above showing either an etch a sketch overhead [] or 47% overlay on their faces.
The view of Pres Obama would be cartoon balloon with most getting 99% inside it, the
others would show as 1%. or;
Obama sees the audience as they are 100%. Rmoney seeing people as vouchers or coupons. self deporter. Balloon would simply say: Thinks he's a job creater.
I hope this makes some sense (albeit ) I don't know how to create that work of art & comedy nt.
I am nervous as a cat who accidentally falls into a yard, seeing my four dogs running at them. Seriously, I need to be talked down. I am worried about this & I am a liberal through & through. Our ideas ARE better! It sickens me that people would use ONLY the debates to decide. I an 56 & I worry for others more than myself. I also cannot believe that there are actually "undecided" voters. I want so badly for OUR President to clobber Twitt!
Am I worried too much? I so need to calm down.
Lastly, I watched CSPAN for last two debates & during the Biden debate, they never showed Martha's face at all. Any recommendations?
Love Y'all I truly do!

(14,061 posts)The sheeple are still all too willing to think that if they work hard and abide by the rules, the gods of fortune will smile upon them, too, and bestow the riches that they foolishly believe will come from said hard work and rule abiding.
The GOP feeds people this because they, in their desperation, are still all too willing to believe it. It's an easy tool to keep the masses complacent.
If (God forbid) Mitt wins, maybe then they'll realize that for many years they've been buying a huge crock of fly-bloated, smelly horse shit. And that lesson, unfortunately for them and for us, will come with A LOT of pain and suffering.
If, by this stage of the game, Mitt has STILL not detailed how he plans to balance the budget without raising taxes, that should be a HUGE red flag that the middle class is going to have to bend over and take it once again. Does this lack of specifics not raise any kind of concern out in the hinterlands?
The media should be on this even harder than they are. Don't let the bastard get away with this vague "I'll tell you later" bullshit anymore. The election could hinge on this, because of this fucking Horatio Alger shit that people are still lapping up with a big, wooden spoon.
