true, she does seem to be a real news person, in fact many people seem to agree that both females have done great jobs!

(209 posts)the new moderator for this debate? I think the lady who did the VP debate was excellent, and Leher is just a gentle old man who should be retired. I heard on the radio that she was, allegedly, under scrutiny for her "left-wing" bias, which came from a conservative news announcer which tells me they're already setting up the BS for explaining away their possible loss or why Romney still can't figure out what his plan is.

Crowley is definitely a Repub. And Schaeffer is an okay Newsman, but he is a friend of the Bushes. (plays golf with W)

(4,734 posts)and unfortunately effective on those who aren't aware of it. Such as on msnbc giving 15 seconds of argument against a GOP talking point and then running clips nonstop for 5 minutes of republicans defending it. Strange how we seem to see a lot more face time for the right wing on a supposedly left leaning network.

(20,888 posts)our debates are set up to discus moderate and conservative issues and ignore any progressive agenda other than to cast it in negative light. For instance when gay marriage and gays in the military were considered positive issues for conservatives we talked about it constantly in debates... now it is unlikely to come up. Unions, workers rights, national health care, equal rights amendment? in our dreams America would even consider debating these issues. Instead we will spend an hour discussing a 2 % tax raise on people making more money in a day than the average American makes all year. That's why debates don't matter and I will vote for Obama no matter who they tell me won the debate.
