Admit that mistakes were made, but also remind everyone that Paul Ryan voted to cut funding for embassy security. However, we will make sure that such a tragedy does not happen again.
What happened was a tragedy, one that should not be continually exploited for political gain.

(3,826 posts)be prepared with a concise, sincere, and compelling response that also calls out Willard for being political at the very moment that the attack was happening and ever since, and pivot from there to real world differences in policy views - like if Willard were president OBL would still be alive, as would other of his top men because Willard specifically stated that he would not enter Pakistan without Pakistan permission etc.
The President has so much to work with to kick ass.

(3,434 posts)We have hundreds of embassies and consulates all over the world. Not all of them are safe places. The people stationed at these places know that, but they serve there because they are dedicated and loyal Americans and we owe our gratitude to them. If someone is going to get there hands on a rocket launcher and attack one of these embassies, they are probably going to kill somebody, and adding a few more for security wouldn't have changed anything.

(2,730 posts)Don't admit anything, if you didn't do anything wrong. If you did, you will just give them more ammunition. It is the same as agreeing you did a bad job for the last four years. That is a slippery slope. You defend yourself.
You add on to the hypocrisy of Ryan. then you illustrate, the inexperience of Romney and Ryan when it comes to Foreign Policy. I listened to Andrea Mitchell very carefully. I wonder if she will listen to others instead of carrying the baton for the Republicans. Hillary Clinton was not thrown under the bus. That is her opinion. She goes on Morning Joe and carries their talking points to her show.
So my question to Andrea Mitchell would be, does she really think the Vice President is lying, when he claims the intelligence people, didn't say anything about a threat in their briefings? Does she actually really believe the President and Vice President of the United States would resort to some cover up? Let Candy Crowley and Andrea Mitchell continue being tools for Issa, Chaffet and Mitt Romney. That is all President Obama has to say if Candy Crowley continues to bring this issue up after Hillary Clinton's statement. It is an ongoing investigation and they should wait for the facts, instead of going on some right wing GOP attack.
