The Real Romney Surprise - Vouchers For All Medicare Recipients ----

not just people under 55. Romney made a remark early in the primaries that he actually favored putting the entire Medicare program under a voucher system for even present retirees. That Ryan's plan was not strong enough.

ADDENDUM - I am sure that I ran into an internet item very early in the GOP primaries when there were a lot of candidates and rhetoric flying all over the place. He made it during one of the more obscure public meetings. It is so long ago I doubt there is a link. He made the statement as a sub comment to the Ryan Budget.

His ability to get anything passed is pretty much nil with his ridiculous plans as proven by his overturned vetoes in Mass.

....Does anyone really believe the right-wing controlled House would actually propose that in any legislation? Seriously??

That's why it's so important for Democrats to either maintain or grow their edge in the Senate and win the Presidential election. That's the only thing that will save the absolutely vital paid benefit programs like SS, Medicaid, Medicare, the GI Bill, etc. (entitlements, if you want).
