In 2006, his last year as governor, Romney spent all or part of 212 days out of state, laying the foundation for his anticipated presidential campaign
He was Governor for 3 years. He used MA State troopers for security while attempting his 1st failed Presidential run. The tax payers of MA were happy to get rid of him, but didn't want to pay for his Campaign. His camp always say that it was OK for him to do this because he didn't accept a salary for being Governor.
At Least Sister Sarah had the decency to quit before taking on other ventures...

That is why why I said other ventures, as in Book deals, Fox News, Bus tours, and "reality TV". But you are right she didn't quit here day job until after the election.
She had quit showing up for meetings and doing what Governors do. She stayed at her home and charged the State Per Diem for doing so....She probably put in less time as Governor than Bush* did as President if that is at all possible...

Faced with a heavily Dem legislature, he vetoed around 800 bills.
Nearly all those vetoes were overridden, sometimes unanimously.
