ok let's see if someone can top me today....
I have very curly/frizzy hair (especially in humid weather, like today) I was using the flat iron and with my mind on other things, I picked it up by the wrong end....OUCH! Yep all four fingers. The only one that really hurts though is the index finger, but no sign of a blister yet, so I think I may live without having to amputate!

(10,103 posts)I've done that, though, when I bothered to play with it.
I too have the curly/frizzy thing going. I cut mine short, and leave it. I may, occasionally, throw some product into it (Beach Head by Kevin Murphy is particularly good). I live near Lake Ontario, and gave up on trying to tame it; too old to bother.

(1,922 posts)I brought home a half-barrel (Pinot, by the way) to use for a hose-pot. Those things will hold hundreds of feet of hose.
The trick to making them last is to hammer carpet tacks into the barrel on the bottom of the rings.
I am a guitar player, so I never felt the tack pierce the end of my middle finger. I had to cut my finger away from the tack.

(10,103 posts)I refuse to play with those damn barrels; I had them for plant pots. The bottom rotted out, of course, leaving a mess.

(1,922 posts)Ya gotta drill holes in the bottom and set them up on bricks.
I don't plant in them, I just use them for hose pots. We have a vineyard, so we use hundreds of feet of hose.
