Did Bill Maher agree to protect Issa?

I love to watch the GOP guest reactions to Bill's New Rules. As you know, that segment is often brutal to the right and Bill has at least one wing nutter on his program. The camera usually shows the reactions of all his guests during New Rules.

Not last night.

Bill had Issa and Ben Affleck and Gov. Schweitzer (Dem from Montana) and the outgoing FDIC woman. New Rules killed. Especially the bit about Focus on the Family which supposedly gets its talking points straight from God and is always wrong. Bill then listed some of the 34 things Focus on the Family said would happen if Obama won in 2008 and not only where they wrong, they was laughable. (Obama will seize your guns, abortion will be free on demand, single payer health care, pledge of allegiance and boy scouts of America, gone.)

The camera showed all three of the other people at the table but not Issa. Is it because Issa told them not to show him laughing? Or a coincidence?

that someone didn't slam him on his comment that Biden's daily commute via train was not an effective use of time. For crying out loud, his wife and daughter were killed in a car crash, his two sons were injured and he was newly elected to the Senate. He chose to go home every night so that he could be with his sons!

Nobody asked that question and I don't know why. That was a gimme question when they were asking him about Benghazi.
