Senator McCaskill at UCM Homecoming parade today

Smiling and walking through the parade, shaking hands with everyone. Lots of cheers for her today and for the firemen who walked with her. AFL-CIO had her walking with men in "Firefighters for Claire" t shirts and followed by a tour bus for her.

She heard me yell her name, turned towards me and saw me wave. She smiled, walked towards me and shook my hand. I proudly informed her that I couldn't wait to vote for her yet again in the election. She thanked me for my support.

All references to Todd Akin were conspicuously absent from the parade today.

2. Until the rain came down.

The game was delayed for that reason. (University of Central Missouri vs Central Oklahoma) It just started but I've decided to skip it-it's still raining!

Claire had a great reception, as did Chris Koster (current Attorney General-was a Repub while Prosecuting Attorney in Cass County then switched parties and ran for AG. He's up for reelection.) Dems actually had a decent showing all around.
