Anyone want to discuss the upcoming debate? I need to chat!

I'll admit that I'm nervous for the upcoming debate. So much is riding on this! Being nervous isn't a sign that I'm worried. I was nervous for Joe Biden, but I knew that he would kick ass and I said so in a pre-VP-debate post.

I am feeling very positive about the upcoming Presidential debate. Obama knows what he has to do. Frankly, I think Obama does his best work when he's behind the eight ball, a bit. We're in a good position. However, we have lost a bit of ground, and it's important that we make up that lost ground.

We've all seen what Obama can do when he's got great challenges. He was terrific during the Democratic primary. He was fantastic during the 08' Presidential campaign. I am nervous, but I'm more excited about seeing how he will tackle this next debate.

After seeing Joe Biden completely decimate Paul Ryan, I know the Obama/Biden campaign has an amazing strategy.

This debate is a town-hall. Romney isn't as comfortable in these situations as Obama. Romney doesn't like to be questioned by the peasants, and Obama thrives in this environment. Obama can really connect and Romney seems to have some challenges with doing so. I think it's possible that Romney could bring his "A game" and do well, but Obama definitely has the advantage.

One tactic I think Romney may try--is anticipating that Obama will come out swinging. Romney may come out as Mr. Nice guy/charming boy, in an attempt to make it difficult for Obama to come out forceful--like Biden did. This is a town-hall and the candidates will be speaking directly to audience members, so in a way--Obama is hindered a bit by how aggressive he can be.
So, striking a balance will be key.

I wonder how Obama will counter the multitude of Romney lies that he will encounter. We say how Biden masterfully did it. How will Obama in this town-hall format?

Anyone have any thoughts or opinions on how this debate will go--and what might/could transpire!

I really can't wait because I think Romney is going to have it handed to him. What say you!?
