Just turning around country singer Blake Shelton's tweet from a year ago
to a feminist perspective: (with apologies to Shania Twain)
". . .Any man that tries
Touching my behind
He's gonna be a beaten, bleedin', heavin' kind of guy. . ."

Yeah, I know, it's pretty much homophobic. But here's where we, the good women, can use it to our good.
FYG, Shania Twain's song had it as this:

Any man of mine better walk the line
Better show me a teasin' squeezin' pleasin' kinda time
I need a man who knows, how the story goes
He's gotta be a heartbeatin' fine treatin'
Breathtakin' earthquakin' kind
Any man of mine

(3,888 posts)so should men but it is women who are being especially targeted by the retrograde policies of the GOP.
i vote for Lysistrata to be bedroom monitor in the homes of all republicans.
there women can remind men of how much power they really have. women are strong, intelligent, and vital to the success (and continuity) of families and communities.
republicans want to legislate women's status to less than a zygote's.
knowing this, it is beyond me why any woman would allow a republican's sperm to fertilize her eggs when that automatically reduces her value in the eyes of that man.

(3,888 posts)as long as it is directed at republican men and other abusive jerks, but not at me.
i was not meant for torture and wouldn't be able to hold out for long.
i'm inclined to think that the authoritative types that often identify as republicans are an appropriate target for this sort of action (i mean inaction). it might take them down a notch or two.

Because letting a pregnant woman die because of an abortion law affects us ALL.
Because letting a baby be born, who is incompatible with life because of abortion laws affects us All.
Making a woman remain pregnant after a rape affects us ALL.

(37,726 posts)MEN! Withhold any favors or comforts from those who would withhold your civil rights and an equal paycheck for women from the workplace. Don't wash their clothes, let them cook their own meals and change those diapers. If your husband votes for republicans just say, Hell No! Next time your man gets ready to head out to the poker game, or the golf course, give him the grocery list and have him watch the kids while he's golfing. What you gals need is some nationwide sit down strikes to get your points across.(no pun intended) And don't "Get Up Offa That Thing" until you get your deal in writing.
