Let me extend my sympathies to all of you swing state residents

I'm in my hotel room unpacking and settling in for a weekend in Vegas. I have the television on and there are 3-4 political ads during every commercial break. I'm already sick of them. I'm from a solidly red state with no governor's race, no Senate race and no hotly contested House races so there is almost no political advertising back home. All of you swing staters have my sympathies as I could not endure this volume of advertising day after day. Thankfully we're less than a month away from the election.

I listen to a radio station during the day and every commercial break Rove's PAC runs the same ad. Every.single.commercial.break. A Crossroads GPS anti-Obama ad.

I am actually seeing more Obama ads here than Romney. Maybe now that he's within a point of Obama, there will be more ads from the shape shifter.

and eventually messes with your psyche.

I woke up in a cold sweat in the middle of the night, panicked that the election was over and Robme had won.

But there are multiple phone calls every day from polling companies. At first it was fun to participate, but now it is tedious.

During the month prior to the election, almost every ad is political. Mostly third-party attack ads. Nasty stuff.

Commercial TV is virtually unwatchable now.

In Maine, we see these ads non-stop because the Portland TV stations are also received in NH, and some of the cable providers are in both markets, so the ads are on the cable stations as well.

It's ridiculous how many there are - people must tune them out at some point, they just become noise. I can't believe they convince anyone when they're on all the time. Maybe a silver lining about Citizens United? Too much ad money for their own good?

I absentee vote in Colorado, but I live in Mexico and watch pirated Canadian satellite TV.

So the only ads I have to watch are the ones I click on online. I'd have broken several expensive things by now if I had to watch the tripe the Other Side puts out.
