I just got a stimulous check for.....$600.00?!?

via my Soc sec. direct deposit.

Weren't they supposed to be $1200.00 for a single person?
No dependents, we don't owe any income tax.


To add:
We both got the 1200.00 last spring and the 600.00 in Jan. this year.

This looks like a fubar....am wondering how big of a problem it will be.

This is the notice I didn't get after the Jan. 600.00. the letter is dated ..Feb. 24..

Just got a the IRS form notice that 600.00 was in Mr. Dixie's account, am waiting for my notice, but we both should have gotten the full stimulus.

It's probably too early to know the answers to f/u checks.

13. Is it a notice through the mail or a deposit showing in your account?

The IRS recently sent out notices in the mail regarding the last $600 payments so you know that you should have gotten it otherwise you need to claim it. So if you are referring to a notice in the mail, that is all it was.

If you got an actual deposit showing in your account for $600 that is odd.

NOW I remember Mr. Dixie got that notice but I did not , back then.

15. Is the notice dated February 26th?

Both my wife and I got a notice with that date last week. It’s dated before the latest bill was passed, let alone signed. It relates to the last stimulus under Trump. We got a similar notice for the first $1200 several weeks after we received it.
