Earthquakes are scary and here it's only about a 5-10 second warning.

in the early 1800s. Not many folks there at the time but it was in excess of magnitude 7.5 and some believe could have been closer to a 9. Frequency is less on east coast and midwest than CA and AK but major quakes are possible.
