Josh Marshall, TPM: Biden made the whole Democratic argument

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/archives/2012/10/very_quick_thoughts.php

Yet I don’t think any of those things compare to this: Biden made the whole Democratic argument — on policy and values and he hit Romney really everywhere Democrats wanted him to. He left nothing unsaid. You can agree with those points or not. But this was exceedingly important for recovering the damage from last week’s debate when many Obama supporters simply felt that Obama wasn’t willing or able or something to make the case Democrats around the country are hyped up to make. Why didn’t you say this? Why’d you let him get away with that?

Biden said it all. And for Democrats around the country that was extremely important.

For reasons that are complicated and juvenile, during his vice presidency a caricature has emerged of Biden as some sort of Crazy Irish Uncle, gaffetastic and corny, a risible figure. That left people unprepared for what they saw tonight. Ryan was unprepared too. Biden’s actually one of sharpest guys in Washington and has been for decades.

I suspect Ryan’s equivocations and unwillingness to give details will be the day 2 and weekend stories. But the most critical point in terms of the trajectory of the debate was that Biden left nothing on the field.

Blue Collar tradesman that were hard-working, no-nonsense men that bothered no one and went about their business, just as long as you minded your own.

Nice guys to have on your side, though.

Family first, before all others, which some found out the hard way, to their great regret.

Paul Ryan just found out what having an Irish uncle is all about.

was because of those who attacked us on 9/11.

Being told that two plus two equals five is much more convincing when it comes from a Democrat.

Biden said that he had been to Iraq and Afghanistan, but he was referring to Afghanistan when he said the reason we are there is that we were attacked.

He kept pointing out the lack of details and misinformation...called it out on Romney & Ryan several times...now its up to the media to keep the flame on the torch going on the same thing until the next debate. No details on deductions, do they want to start another war, on and on......

on Rmoney's "economic plan"--

Mathematically implossible.. unless you're planning on cutting the mortgage deduction.

BINGO!

Rmoney/Ryan are total, utter frauds. The mortgage deduction will NEVER be eliminated by Congress;
I can more or less guarantee that.

"Genius" Ryan seems to forget that first and foremost, congress critters are interested in keeping their
jobs.. with the nice, phat paycheck and bennies. If he thinks congresspeople are going to risk LOSING
their job by getting rid of the mortgage deduction and pissing millions of people off-- he's truly
living in some sort of fantasy land.

So true & so nice to read that!

I thought our VP did fantastic! That smile - he would smile that smile & shake his head a little while Ryan was talking & you knew punk Ryan was lying. I turned the TV off when I heard Gergen (CNN) say "Ryan won the debate on style." Fuck you you fucking sellout asshole with an agenda. Style? You don't win a debate on style you win it on facts & argument.

I haven't read what the MSM is saying cuz I'm sure it's all in favor of punk Ryan.
