Please forgive me if I don't join in the general cackling about silly vandalism.

I spent a lot of time in 2004 fixing such junk. "John Forbes Kerry" got changed to "Jean Francois Kerry". "He is the son of former President George H. W. Bush" got changed to "He is the son of Satan." It gets old fast, let me tell you.

On the other hand, there's a crying need for more people to do serious editing of political articles. Be forewarned, it will mean doing some actual work, i.e., research, and finding and citing sources for anything you want to add.

If you're more comfortable just popping off, with no one calling you on your assertions, stick with DU. If you're willing to do the work so as to reach people who aren't DUers, and who might actually be persuaded, PM me.
