for whatever reason, Romney came out the clear winner in the last debate and now leads in the Polls. Obama has gone under the necessary Electoral college votes and too many American voters have decided that "Professor Harold Hill" really can teach their children to play music because we got trouble right here.
I think Ryan will make a good showing, i.e. lie his ass off but look like he is strong and determined, which apparently is all the voters care about, since actual policy and ideas are too far over their heads.
So to avoid the tight knot in my stomach getting tighter and for a chance to sleep tonight, I probably won't watch.
It could all be very depressing.
I hope I can have a better outlook tomorrow.

(16,384 posts)Feel like covering my eyes and watching between my fingers. I couldn't watch the last one between Rmoney and the President, either. Maybe if I have a glass or two of vino first . . .

(752 posts)ultimately this debate serves one purpose. To change the subject from last week.

(752 posts)Then he'll try blinking the baby blues a few times. Finally he'll get mad and twitchy and lose his sense of humor. I think you'll wake up to good news tomorrow. At least the focus will be on something new. I'm unafraid.

(452 posts)We will watch Joe Biden win. You can rest assured DoomSayer you do not have to view the debate we understand you weren't planning to. The Sky is not falling and Obama is still doing well. Do not worry DoomSayer your concern has been noted. We do not buy it!

(33,595 posts)you though Obama would wipe the floor with Romney.
And probably one of those here who were confident we would keep the House in 2010.
Glad you are not worried. Your lack of concern is noted.

(452 posts)to say as why you are worried

(33,595 posts)soooo long ago, why it was almost two years and all the way back to last national election.
But why should I use such ancient history to make a point?
I noticed you didn't respond to my guess that you thought Obama would win big in the last debate too.
But don't bother.

(452 posts)what i thought because you have already made up your mind before a debate because of stuff so far back that it doesn't matter this election cycle. You just want to post on the website so everyone knows that you can't stomach watching it although you can stomach posting to a forum that people are going to be watching the debate on so that you have to listen to what everyone says about the debate or make up stuff about the debate. Which ever one comes first I say.

(32,718 posts)I'm nervous too. Ryan and Romney lie with ease. Biden may be too angry and Pres. Obama may not be angry enough when confronting them. If it's any consolation, Nate still has Pres. Obama winning the electoral vote but it pains me every time I see the numbers going down. Uggh!

(2,866 posts)I wouldn't miss this one for anything in the hope that Joe mops the floor with Ryan.
