Nicaragua has abortion laws even more rigid than those of the Church. They won't even allow hysterectomies of pregnant cancer patients or removal of a Fallopian tube in the case of ectopic pregnancies. This is the real "Let Women Die" act.

This macho, fundamentalist bullshit has got to stop. Note: I'm personally opposed to abortion, but you can't have a rigid rule that doesn't allow for saving the life of the mother.

It is not particularly uncommon. Unbearable pain and sure death unless the patient receives a life-saving operation - an abortion.

THIS IS A WOMEN'S HEALTH ISSUE.

She wanted that kid. Sadly, she had to have her Fallopian tube removed, a "side effect" abortion if you may. If she didn't, she and the fetus/baby would have faced certain death.

She also lost the one fallopian tube although luckily, she did conceive again 2 years later and had a healthy boy! She would have died without the abortion.
