I feel bad for the kid, they should be able to wear whatever they want... But Rmoney is such a fucking weasel... yesterday it was the sappy ripped off Navy Seal stories and now this?

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney called Samantha Pawlucy, the Philly teen who was chastised first by her teacher and then fellow students for wearing a Romney-Ryan T-shirt to school.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that the Romney campaign confirmed that Romney called the teen on Wednesday, which is the same day the Pawlucys pulled all three of their kids out of the school because of the controversy.
The ordeal made national headlines last week when Samantha, 16, wore a pink Romney-Ryan shirt to Charles Caroll High School. Her geometry teacher, Lynette Gaymon, "told me to get out of the classroom," Samantha told NBC10. "She told me to take off my shirt and said that she has another one if I need one. And then the teacher asked me...'are your parents Republican?' I said, 'I don't know.' She said, 'That's like wearing a KKK shirt.' "

(2,774 posts)If Romney-Ryan is hated that much? Why are the polls close?
Whatever - I see this being debunked in 1-2 days.

(1,663 posts)Well Mormons did preach the same thing the KKK preached. That black people were cursed and inferior.
This is why so many schools have gone to uniforms.

As far I'm concerned, she deserved everything she got from wearing it.

(6,228 posts)You honestly think the teacher was justified? Amazing. Simply amazing.

(21,642 posts)She was probably asked to remove the shirt because the school has a policy about shirts with slogans.

(6,228 posts)However, the confirmed comments went waaaay beyond that. While I agree with the sentiment, the teacher had ZERO right to do what she did. Maybe I see this different because I live in a red state. I would HATE to see the shit my kids would have to endure if this behavior was accepted on the other side.

(538 posts)all the criticism he or she gets.
Had Pawlucy known any better she would have NEVER worn it in the first place.
It's that simple.

(4,886 posts)said something in a joking manner.
From what I read it was totally innocuous, and I understand the classroom AND the girl laughed at the remark.
After other kids outside the classroom said some things did she get the idea that she was being treated badly.
She tells the scumbag parents, they see $$ and cameras and 'fame' and they run with it.
It is despicable, she will be paid by the RNC, I'll bet anyone 500 bucks they will make a commercial out of it.
All over NOTHING.
But, thats the repuke way, make money any way you can, use your kids, who cares?
It's the M-O-N-E-Y thats important.

(3,526 posts)...shirts banned include those with expletives and political slogans, for obvious reasons. All parents are informed about this policy at the start of each school year.
This is on the parents for letting her wear a prohibited shirt to school, and it's certainly not on the school or the teacher.

(21,642 posts)And the colors are sometimes restricted, too.

(6,228 posts)Sorry, but the teacher fucked up. And I would be ripping assholes if some conservative teacher here in Nebraska tried to pull this shit on the other side of the aisle with one of my kids. Don't excuse shitty behavior because you agree with the sentiment.
