I keep answering unknown callers hoping they're pollsters. Dang.

I got polled twice a few months ago, but nothing since. I keep hoping and hoping it's a pollster calling, but it's always something stupid like a security system sales robo call or someone shilling a credit card.

Damn it.

There was no live person, but a recording asking me to push 1 or 2 depending on my answers. Questions like who I would vote for for President and Senator, did I think the economy was better or worse under Obama, etc. Works for me.

It was a robo from American Future Fund. I knew it was a Koch/Rightie group so I responded. Went through the usual age, how interested in the election, gender, likelihood of voting, who was I voting for, registration (I did lie and indicate I was an Independent) and then it got into religion.

I was given 7 options of religious affiliations and #8 was Other. Not Other as in non-believer but Other religion. I finally said Muslim for the hell of it. Otherwise I would be kicked out of the survey.

Then it asked me about church attendance. The four choices were (1) twice a week or more (2) once a week (3) once a month (4) less than once a month. Never was not an option.

This is where/how the Right gets their bogus studies.

who is registered as a republican. She doesn't vote republican unless a moderate republican is being primaried by our wing nut county party, but this puts her in an interesting demographic. Since she is at school the nice lady asked if I knew if my daughter will be voting for Romney. I very happily told her that not only was she not, neither her brother or I would be. I really can't speak for my husband. He never tells.

I didn't think to ask who was doing the poll. I guess I should have.

I usually don't pick up any call where I don't recognize the number but there have been so many in the last month, I'm figuring I'm missing out on being polled.
