I think Biden will do fantastic tonight; I think Paul Ryan will need psychotherapy after tonight

Right-wing pundits were cackling this morning--dismissing Joe Biden and how he would perform in the debates tonight-- because of his previous gaffes.

These Republicans ignore Biden's three decades of extensive foreign-policy and fiscal-policy experience--while chittering about a handful off off-the-cuff remarks. They do so at their peril, I'm afraid.

The Republicans are like misguided bullies, and after the debate everyone will say, "Paul Ryan and the Republicans never saw it coming." Remember the scene in "A Christmas Story" when big-mouth Scott Farkas finally--and unexpectedly--gets the snot beat out of him? I think tonight's debate will be a lot like that.

Anyone who dismisses and laughs off Joe Biden's debate skills--because he has made a few missteps on the campaign trail--is not a smart person.

Joe Biden was in the Senate for decades. He was the Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and he also served as the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Biden has an incredible depth of knowledge on foreign-policy matters and is an expert on the Middle East. He's faced down Slobodon Milosevic and he stood up to George C. Schulz during the Reagan Administration.
Biden is a guy who became an expert on the Balkans and was instumental in landing peace in those regions after fighting hard for it.

Paul Ryan has virtually no foreign-policy credentials. You heard that right.

Biden also has deep experience and knowledge of economic and fiscal policy--as well as banking and financial expertise. He's an experienced debater; Paul Ryan is not.

I actually chuckle when I imagine Paul Ryan going up against Joe Biden. Ryan is well below Biden's league. He's a thin-skinned amateur who has gained notariety with his Dick-Cheney endorsed budgets which are cruel and unpopular. In fact, Paul Ryan has spent most of his time on the campaign trail--running from his policies, lying about his ideas and telling reporters that he doesn't have time to explain the math. Well, tonight he's going to have plenty of time to explain.

Let's see Paul Ryan try to defend these HORRIFIC and UNPOPULAR actions and policies:
--The infamous "Ryan Budget" voucherizes Medicare, partially privatizes Social Security and cuts Medicaid by $800 billion.
--Paul Ryan voted AGAINST the Lily Leddbetter Act that advanced the issue of equal pay for women.
--Since 2009 Paul Ryan has voted AGAINST extending unemployement insurance.
--Paul Ryan co-sponsored--with TODD AKIN--HR2--a bill written ONLY to introduce the words "legitimate rape" into a Medicaid bill.
--Paul Ryan's budget would have cut Pell Grants for one million students.
--Paul Ryan voted against the Credit Cardholders Bill of Rights Act in 2009, siding with Wall Street and the big banks
--Ryan's tax plan cuts taxes for the rich, eliminates capital gains tax and estate taxes; and does away with corporate income taxes
--Paul Ryan believes that women do not have the right to choose--not even in cases of rape or incest
--Ryan has opposed same-sex couples adopting children and he even voted against the Matthew Shepherd Hate Crimes Act

Paul Ryan won't be able to get away with the only modus operandi that will save him--lying, ducking and dodging. All Biden will have to do is confront Ryan with his own budgets and ideas that the Romney campaign has gone to great lengths to hide--and even lie about.

America is going to learn so much tonight.

Lastly, take a loooong look at the video I've posted at the end of this post. This is how Paul Ryan behaves when someone dares to ask him a simple question about his tax plan--a plan he'd rather hide behind a tantrum, than discuss. Ryan will be asked many similar questions and comments tonight. You can bet he'll be asked about the "47 percent comments." But this time, he won't be able to pack up and run out like a coward. He'll be schooled, scolded and exposed--repeatedly

I don't know about you guys--but I'm popping some 'corn and enjoying the fact that a few gaffes here and there, have given the Romney/Ryan camp a false sense of security. They won't know what hit them.

these 'gaffe' memes are entirely created by the punditocracy. Best not to forward them.

Just my opinion

...that those who are focused on Biden's gaffes are right-wingers trying to insult--and also the pundits. For sure.

However, I hope that by mentioning them--and discussing them out in the open and putting them into context--sheds a little reality on the situation.

The gaffes pale in comparison, when it comes to his impressive successes and decades of experience in public service.

This is an other reason why we may have a knock-out night. The expectations may be low, and when he hits it out of the park--his command performance will be that much more impressive.

Anyone who has low expectations of Joe Biden, when it comes to a debate--really is a fool.

I just think we should crush the meme of Joe Biden making 'gaffes'. It's total horse shit.

And Ryan's such a psychopathic douchebag that he deserves to have PTSD inflicted on him.

and as I hear the media fawn over Ryan this morning, I keep asking myself, why?

I have always had such respect for Joe Biden. After his first wife and child died in a car wreck, he took such good care of those boys and made sure that they still came first. By taking the train home every night rather than staying in DC, speaks volumes about his character. He's definitely one of the good guys. And for what its worth I love his "gaffes." He has a great personality.

I suspect Paul Ryan will try to come out as a victim. I watched him this morning speak about Joe Biden being such an excellent debater and he was setting the stage for him to be the victim of the "bully" Joe Biden. This is his only strategy, since his policies suck. To draw empathy from the audience, will divert Joe Biden's message, but I think he underestimates Joe. Biden is on to them.
