Biden won most 2008 Primary Debates

Last edited Thu Oct 11, 2012, 12:47 PM - Edit history (1)

While he was in the race, the talking heads declared Joe Biden the winner of almost all the primary debates.

It was always that Biden was the winner, and Hillary the winner among the 'serious' candidates.

The worst Biden debate performance I've seen was against Sarah Palin because he was so constrained by the intricacies of debating a very stupid woman one on one without looking like a bully.

In a gloves off situation (which tonight will surely be) Biden is very good.

(One of the reasons Obama picked Biden as VP is that Obama had lost about ten debates to Biden, and seen Biden fight Hillary to a rhetorical stand-still. Had weknown McCain would pick Palin he might have reconsidered Hillary, but everybody expected McCain to pick a serious candidate.)
