Exactly five years ago today, the Dow Jones Industrial Average reached its all time high
Of 14,198 during the course of the days trading ( referred to as the "intraday" high)
It closed on October 11, 2007 at 14,164.
I should note that some sources I've looked at are saying it was Oct 9, others Oct 10 and others Oct 11. Seems to me it was Thursday, Oct 11, 2007.
The DJIA bottomed out at 6469 17 months later, on March 6, 2009, a month after Mr. Obama's inauguration.
It will open today at 13,344.97 making this President, as has been noted before, the worst Socialist in history!
