Lawrence O'Donnell's Rewrite tonight is heartbreaking & infuriating

Fuck religious extremism. Fuck the Christian Right, too, because they're going the way of the fucking Taliban. That little girl is worth more than all the fucking Taliban put together.

Women's Rights was shot in the head by the Taliban as she was coming home from school & she is clinging to life. She met with Admiral Holbrook when she was 12. Incredibly impressive. Can't link on this mobile phone, sorry.

Her father is headmaster of a school for girls which is, of course, a no-no as far as the fucking Taliban is concerned. Gotta keep us uneducated, subjugated, veiled, barefoot & pregnant. Shitheads. Her dad looked so proud of her as she was being interviewed. The fucking Taliban is boasting about the evil deed and patting themselves on the back for doing allah's work. They vow to try again if she somehow survives. Fucking worthless pieces of shit. This has hit me very hard emotionally. I think it happened too close to my friend's murder on 9/21, so I am really sensitive to violence. Not that I'm not normally opposed to violence.

What happened to that brave, wonderful girl is heartbreaking and infuriating to say the least.

There is one positive thing that's come of it. It appears to have turned the people of Pakistan against the Taliban. http://www.pbs.org/newshour/bb/world/july-dec12/pakistan2_10-10.html

Hope the momentum builds.

Sad, ridiculous and heartbreaking all at the same time. This story needs to go INTERNATIONAL! We have tweeted the PBS story twice at our site!

Praying for your recovery Malala Yousufzai~~

Horrible and tragic.

The stupidity, the brain washing must stop. The fundamentalist religious groups start with the children and the indoctrination is severe and deep. These kinds of acts will only stop when the indoctrination stops.

I'm glad I'm not over there. I'd so like to help them realize their beliefs.
