CSpan NOW: Arizona Senate Debate: Flake vs. Carmona RAZAOR THIN RACE Running Thread

I am very interested in the AZ Senate race. It is practically a tie with Carmona surging from behind. I will type along but don't quote me.... I'm not the fastest typer and don't want to misrepresent anyone.

Ah... Victor (L) is also running.

UPDATE: This is a very laid back debate. The three men are sitting at a table, the tone is conversational. So far there have only been typical party talking points.

5:10Flake is taking a personal tone-putting Carmona down for being a Democrat.

5:12 Carmona is supporting better infrastructure projects. Flake has a very strange fake smile that comes up when he is saying things most people don't smile about. The Libertarian is cranky and very supportive of business: "Get out of the way and let the free market do its thang." (maybe "thing" but it really sounded like "thang&quot

Carmona: "We are talking about smart investment in our communities"

Flake:" Here is the (idea) that all jobs are created by the US Government" Carmona: Flake is mischaracterizing what I am saying.

Carmona "We need clean water. that is beyond the scope of a small business".

Carmona might agree to extend them all if they work on solving the budget issues.

Flake: extend them all.

but that the Democratic party was a better fit than the Republicans since they were no longer the financially conservative party they used to be.

Hey guys, this is very run-of-the mill party line talk. I am going to stop posting but will add to this if anything big comes up.

This was an easy win for Carmona. He is a very intelligent man and he was pretty straight-forward and thoughtful. Flake kept smiling even when he was saying harsh things. It was creepy how he smiled even when talking about bad things. He came off as a very thoughtless person. Victor was...well, an angry Libertarian.

In this race, I am hoping that Victor will be able to draw a few votes away from Flake and that the very sensible Carmona will draw away a good portion of the independents.

Carmona won hands down. This just might be a new blue seat in the Senate.
