Today's two media heroes: Thomas Roberts & Soledad O'Brien

I haven't had a lot of good things to say about media folks lately, so when this comes from me it's really sincere.

This morning, I actually had the pleasure of watching MSNBC's Thomas Roberts take on a GOP hack on the Republican Party's campaign to suppress the vote. When the hack registered his indignation, Roberts never backed down. It was a thing of beauty.

The other media hero today is CNN's Soledad O'Brien, when she exposed the blatant hypocrisy of UT Rep Jason Cheffetz (Ridiculous) for blaming the Obama administration in their handling of the Benghazi, Libya incident, even after he himself admitted to voting to slash security funding there.

I'm sorry that I don't have links or vids, I'm writing this from my iPod.

But I think that we should all thank Ms. O'Brien and Mr. Roberts for their fine work today and I, for one, wish them continued due diligence in the future.

I was in another room and heard his magnificent beat down on the GOP hack about voter suppression. I had to go see who the heck IS that? The GOP hack tried to talk over him in the way they do, but he didn't get anywhere. Robert's kept hammering him "How is it NOT a poll tax"? He was calm and forceful, and the GOP hack was just yammering and sputtering red faced. It was a thing of beauty.

Erin Burnett just did a segment about how great Ann Romney is and that her favorability ratings are on the rise. And she just had to bring up that controversy about Michelle Obama of the last election, when she said she was finally proud to be an American. When her Democratic guest mentioned Michelle's outstanding speech at the Democratic Convention Erin looked pained to have to admit it.

Anderson Cooper is bad as well. Neither one of them seem to care to know about what SOLEDAD was talking about. They are still into the "Why was there no security!" schtick.

I can use to search. Which piece of legislation? I have a (soon to be deleted) FB contact that I would like to share that with. She's spreading the garbage about the hearing today.

Thanks for telling us what"s up on the news.

I listen as I get ready for work. I am amazed, truly amazed, at the balls she has! Seriously! She will NOT let someone bulldoze over her and refuse to answer a question like most so called "reporters" do --she bites hard and wont let go until either the question is answered or the person looks ridiculous.

LOVE IT!

This isn't going away for the republicans now. They've done all this grandstanding
in the month since the attack and now it's being exposed that the republicans were
instrumental in cutting funding to embassies and consulates.

I hope that more media sources pick this up.
