Forget Big Bird. This would make a lot more people think about him. If he cares so little about a dog, his own dog, what does that say about him in general? This would be some I would play the heck out of if I was the Obama Camp. If it is documented, they better start to use it and hard.

the world's number one canned hunting organization, that makes it a point to feed its members dishes made with endangered species like lions, tigers, and elephants at its annual meetings. Daddy Bush attended the event to accept the trophy on behalf of his son. The organization celebrated Bush for making the State of Texas the country's most canned-hunting friendly place in the country.

You barely ever heard a peep about this in the media, lest it offend animal lovers.

the dog shat himself during that trip because he was so scared. It covered the back window so Mitt had to make a stop and hose it and the dog off before continuing on. The trip lasted 12 hours.

Crated dog tied to car roof for vacation trip
Boston, MA (US)

Incident Date: Tuesday, May 31, 1983
County: Suffolk

Disposition: Not Charged

Person of Interest: Mitt Romney

Animal lovers hit the roof after it was revealed that Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney strapped his Irish setter to the top of his car during a 12-hour family drive from Boston to Ontario, terrifying the hapless dog and causing a health hazard to fellow road-users.

According to the Boston Globe, the former Massachusetts governor placed the dog, called Seamus, in a kennel attached to the roof of his white Chevy station wagon. He and his wife and five sons then set off on holiday. After a few miles, Mr Romney's eldest son, Tagg, raised the alarm. "Dad!" he yelled. "Gross!" A brown liquid was dripping down the rear windscreen.

In protest at his treatment perhaps, Seamus had suffered a diarrhea attack. The results made driving difficult. Exhibiting presidential-style cool in a crisis, and with his family howling in disgust, Mr Romney pulled over. He borrowed a hosepipe and washed down Seamus, the car, and the kennel - then set off again with the dog still on the roof.

They generates a lot of chatter, jokes and comments and people will tsk, tsk. But in the end, neither is important enough an issue for the MSM to keep mentioning. You would hope however, that there would be a point when all of these issues, including, Mitt's habit of bullying, avoiding the draft, not releasing tax records, changing his state of residency retroactively so he could run for Governor of Massachusetts, his serial lying, etc would be rolled up into a huge condemnation of his character

Fetuses, yes, but living, breathing animals? Not so much.

I do think Obama needs to find a way to bring this up in the next debate. I'm sure there are some animal-loving undecideds out there who don't know about how Rmoney treated his family pet.
