1. That's beautiful. Our three daughters have gardened since they could walk. It might come in handy.

We get a shitload of food out of our gardens, but there may come a day where those who are ignorant in the ways of the land won't eat. Think of it as a life skill. The techniques Grow Dat uses are sustainable and practical. You can't get much better of a combination. Harrisburg, PA just had a major tragedy when the city council decided to bulldoze a community garden because "people were hiding guns and doing lewd things in it", the allegations of one resident of the region. EVERYBODY involved in it made it clear that they'd never found evidence of guns, drugs, or tomatoes engaged in lewd acts, but that was after the fact. I've seen pictures of the site before the bulldozers came in. It was well maintained with raised beds and neatly trimmed grass in the walkways. Urban gardening is the way to go. Rooftops are particularly valuable (and mostly unused space). Our reliance on industrial "farms" is killing the reliability of our food supply. But hey, my family will have potatoes throughout the winter.
