Two Points Important to DU

1. I don't feel people who have expressed concern over the debate implications should be labelled as "negative nancy" or "concern trolls" or whatever term is being thrown about. While I prefer to look at the positive, people are free to express their concerns with Obama's performance at the debate. The same goes for anyone labeling those for exposing polling issues or bias as putting their heads in the sand or deniers of reality. People should be free to expose anomalies in polls or the media as much as those who express concern over Obama's performance. We are all together, on the same team, and it is important to keep an open mind to the concerns expressed by members, especially by long-standing contributors of this site.

2. One thing I think is a valid complaint is against the practice of arm-chair quarterbacking the campaign. Up until the debate, Obama's team has run a brilliant campaign, dominated the news cycle and defined Romney before he could even shake the Etch-a-Sketch. They are extremely smart, well staffed and resourced and they've shown one thing many other campaigns have not: they learn from their mistakes. Having members of DU here say the Obama campaign should do this or that is, in my humble opinion, a huge waste of effort and energy. Of course, I'm not going to tell anyone what to do or say, they are free to do it. But I certainly can express how silly I think that is.

At the end of the day, Romney really is doing and saying everything and anything just to be President. Obama is running because he cares about the American people. This message will get through and it will be a major factor in determining the outcome of this election.
