BEWARE TX, OH, CO, VA etc: HART eSlate and ePollbook Voting Machines linked to Romney

In all 234 counties of Texas, the entire states of Hawaii and Oklahoma, half of Washington and Colorado, and certain counties in swing state Ohio, (ALSO VIRGINIA and prob more) votes will be cast on eSlate and ePollbook machines made by Hart Intercivic. Hart Intercivic machines have famously failed in Tarrant County (Ft. Worth), adding 10,000 non-existent votes. The EVEREST study, commissioned by the Ohio secretary of state in 2007, found serious security flaws with Hart Intercivic products.

I am a Precinct Chair here and if I have the information made available I would write the Admin of Elections. I have written him several times about our voting machines. He has assured me they are tamper resistent. However, if I have more proof this occurred then I would write him again. I NEED hard data!

Also in the State of Texas one cannot vote a paper ballot except on election day. This is another reason I do not do early voting.

Early voting: voters have no choice, it's electronic only.

I became a Precinct Chair in 08, because my precinct was without one for the DP. I really wasn't interested in being one and decided that if no one else was going to take on the responsibility then I would.

I have talked with and communicate through emails to our Admin of Elections. He always responds back. He has assured me that our machines are "safe", and my concerns are unwarranted.

I do know that our paper ballots are secured in boxes with zip ties. So, once they are inside the box and sealed they cannot be tampered with.

I also wrote the FreePress looking for the answer to my question. And if anyone knows how to contact Bob Fitrakis let me know!

I think this might be the article that I wrote to our Admin. I don't know if what he told me is correct, but he has assured me that the machines cannot be hacked or messed with. I have no proof one way or the other.

That's why paper ballots are the ONLY way we should be allowed to vote. Even then the tally machines can cause havoc, but at least there is a trail.

they cannot be viewed or hand counted, which is the law in many (all?) states.

They ALL say the machines cant be hacked or messed with--even those who know better. They are either brainwashed, willfully ignorant or in on it if they say that.

Thanks for all you are doing.
