Did you read all those crazy tweets from Biden this morning?

Last edited Sun Feb 7, 2021, 12:49 PM - Edit history (1)

Neither did I. Refreshing, isn't it.

Trump wasn't "unorthodox" or "not a typical politician" or was a "different kind of President"

He was an unhinged, corrupt, narcissistic, incompetent "leader" who only cared about what things meant for him.

Having a real President in office shows us how bad he was.

"Trump wasn't "unorthodox" or "not a typical politician" or was a "different kind of President.""

This is what the MSM kept calling him INSTEAD of admitting how totally unhinged and unqualified he was. And the entire RepubliCon party was right there beside them proclaiming the same lie.

And I'm also convinced that no matter how great a job J&K and the Dems do, as long as they have wackos like Cruz, Tuberville, Boebert, and MTG representing the RepubliCon party we will have our work cut out for us - those 74 million that voted for IQ45 are still out there!

Other than decreasing our good national relationships and supporting murderous dictators, he only lead in increasing racial hatred and violence and in self-profiting. He never cared one bit for America or Americans - just the reich wing fascists ike Nazis and KKK and Proud Boys were promoted and everyone else hurt on purpose by his profiteering, laziness and premeditated hate with CV19.

...now soundly reject him after seeing some competence. My metric for this is that clearly a number of people who approve of Biden (over 60%) so far must have also approved of tr&&p...and they will come to see tr$&p in a different light as Biden gets things done.

23. I have been thinking about this
Sun Feb 7, 2021, 01:29 PM
Feb 2021

It is true about Trump but more broadly about Facebook, Twitterverse. Those places thrive on smackdowns, soundbites and spectacles.

Apparently on 4chan people have handles which are strings of letters and numbers - in their case probably for malicious reasons as they are trolls. However, my premise is that (for some of us at least) solitude and complete privacy are essential for optimal brain function. It follows then that a sub-set of us could contribute more earnestly and provide a higher quality of engagement with greater anonymity and more freedom from the gaze of the other (something an exhibitionist like Trump could not grasp).

When the name change amnesty comes around I would like to have a username like 765-4198 which has no personality and is hard to remember. There is already a poster like that here. But then it would only work if there were a bunch of other actual DUers who also had handles like that : - /. That is a hint . Anyone in?

I don't suppose that would be a nuisance to the admins and mods with mir would it? I bet you could even get some asocial liberals to participate more since with a handle like that the poster goes unnoticed and only the ideas remain out there. Though I would imagine you would need 5-10 people for that to work. And I was a mod here years ago - disruptors are easy to identify.

They went out of their way to talk to me and let me know they were happy to see me. It was because the man who lived there before me was such an asshole that he made everyone’s life a living hell.

That’s how it is with Biden. Even those who would normally criticize him just for the giggles are relieved and happy to see him.

49. Before Trump the media hammered on his so called gaffes relentlessly
Mon Feb 8, 2021, 03:45 PM
Feb 2021

It was nuts.

After Trump no one talks about his gaffes anymore. Suddenly we have a Presidential man as Head of State and having experienced the last four years we’ve learned not to take that for granted. The media seems to have learned their own lesson of what it’s like to be incessantly accused of being “fake”. At least I hope they have.

Biden hasn’t changed. He’s always been good though he sure disappointed over Anita Hill. But by the look of his Cabinet and his appointments it looks like he’s grown quite well. He gets it now. He has become better, inclusive, respectful and because of it he’s moved more towards being Progressive.

In my opinion if you truly believe ALL people are fundamentally equal then becoming progressive is automatic. It can’t be any other way.
