How do you defend against a liar when the audience is predisposed to believe the liar?

I have a similar situation at work that Obama has I think.

I have a "manager" that I am newly working for. He does not give you any training but expects you to figure things out for yourself. In a meeting he will say that he told me to do something which he did not and if it results in a screw up it is always my fault. That is because the other managers are predisposed to believe him and predisposed to believe that I screw up. I am always having to prove my innocence after being perceived as guilty. And any manager that believes me will not defend me because they are protecting their position.

So, when people are predisposed to not like Obama for one reason or the other like his race or what ever, all Romney has to do is give them support in their predispositions with a lie and he will be believed.

Obama has a chance with these people who do not like him for one reason or the other if they feel that Romney is a threat to their way of life. But in the last debate Romney took away that fear by promising that he will not hurt their way of life. He is trying to do that with women now.

To win Obama has to take back these people by making them feel that Romney is still a threat to them.

The issues are not so important now to undecideds as who they feel is less of a threat. We will not change our opinion of Romney but these few haven't made up their minds who is on their side.

I think that a discussion of Obama's accomplishments which leads people to believe conditions will improve in the next four years under an Obama second term is a winning game plan.

When Romney or Ryan tells a lie, Obama or Biden should say that it was a lie and explain what is the truth with believable support for the truth. Or they should preempt a Romney lie by stating what lie he will be telling based on his stump speeches then tell the people what the truth is.

It is easy to see Romney's game plan so use it against him. People still do not like liars and don't believe them. The job is to convince them that Romney is lying.
