Do Republicans really believe that the rich are the "job creators"?

If they believe that the rich and not the government creates the jobs, then why are they blaming Obama for the lack of jobs?

Seems inconsistent to me. Either Obama is responsible or not.

The truly psychopathic ones probably don't believe their own bullshit they spew, but they're betting that many others would believe it, and likely, they do. It's a good bet to make. You'll fool at least 30 to 50% of the population.

Any economist will tell you an economy runs primarily upon aggregate demand for products and services. If consumers (who are also workers) have little income to spend, there will be few jobs anywhere. Employers never added jobs if the demand was never there, and they never will.

Such a pervasive believe that they would add jobs without aggregate demand is a product of a concentrated, persistent propaganda campaign aimed at the population.

Part of me thinks it's just a side effect of hating the poor so fucking much. i mean someone's gotta "make jobs," and if you find the poor to be abhorrent subhumans, that kind of leaves the rich by default.
